Many people find themselves in dire situations ready to give up. All they really need to do is reach up to Jesus Christ the Son of God and accept Him as their Lord and Savior.God, our Heavenly Father, loves us so much that He sacrificed His only Son (Jesus Christ) who died on the cross, was buried and on the 3rd day rose with victory over death. Jesus is the only means of salvation (John 14:6). Through Christ you will have a new start, as the Holy Spirit works from within to guide and help you become what God designed you to be. But when you reject Christ, you throw away your only means of rescue. Without Christ, you may find a branch or two to hold you for a while but sooner or later it will snap and you will fall to your death. Living a Christian life doesnt mean that you will never sin again, but you are no longer a slave to sin. We all have sinned and fallen short of Gods glory (Romans 3:23) and through Jesus Christ, God offered forgiveness of our sins. Sometimes we will still feel like sinning, and may still give in to sin. The difference is that before we were saved we were slaves to our sinful nature, but now we have a choice to live for Christ (Galatians 2:20). When you are ready to receive the gift of salvation, pray this prayer to invite Jesus Christ into your life as your personal Lord and Savior. Dear Lord Jesus I am a sinner. I believe that you died for my sins. Right now I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life. I receive you as my personal Lord and Savior. Through the help of the Holy Spirit I will serve you all the days of my life. If you have earnestly prayed to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, confessed with your mouth and believe in your heart that He is the Son of God who died on the cross was buried and rose on the 3rd day with victory over death, the Holy Spirit will take up residence in your heart and become your comforter. The next step is to connect with a local church where you can learn more about your new relationship with Christ and your new church family can help keep you encouraged. Read your bible daily to mature in the Word of God and in the Spirit which will enable you to walk in fellowship with Him on a daily basis.
